Student Visa Requirements for Austria

v  Dully filled Application Form for theStudent Resident Permit (Aufenthaltsbewilligung "Studierender"). 

   

v  Passport copy.

   

v  Passport size photographs - Two numbers.

   

v  Cover letter explaining the purpose of the trip including detailed description of your proposed course of study

   

v   Birth Certificate with the Apostille (This means, the certificate is authenticated by the Government). Translated version in German also to be attached.

   

v  Police Clearance Certificate. Translated Version in German also to be attached.

   

v  Proof of Accommodation in Austria.

   

v  Proof of financial means to finance one’s stay: for students up to 24 years at least EUR 426.57 per month, for older students at least EUR 772.40 per month [status of 11/2008]; e.g. a savings account or a bank account at an Austrian bank or a declaration of guarantee (Haftungserklärung) of a person living in Austria or proof of purchase of traveller’s cheques for the necessary amount or a confirmation of the award of a scholarship/grant; if the costs for accommodation exceed EUR 239.15/month, you have to prove additional funds

  

v  Admission letter from the University.

   

v  Over Seas Medical Insurance (Minimum Coverage €30000).

   

v  Visa Application Fees €75.
